Who is the logistics game for?

Companies, Organizations or educational institutions in the field of logistics or operational management.

For educational settings:

Do you look for some different educational methods, in the field of logistics and operations management? Teaching methods with the methodology of learning by playing? Simulation role games were participants all participate? Have fun together? And validate the learning process highly? Experience learning themselves and indicate they are learning a lot? We supply these enervating LO-Game simulations. Participants can have unique educational experiences. Where making mistakes is regarded as positive contributing to their learning processes. Where is verified that indeed success drives success in acquiring competencies. Playful learning in simulations during 1 to 6 hours (when several versions are played in a sequence, with breaks in between, of course). LO-Game is used among other at the courses logistics in secondary schools and at polytechnics, in the course operations management at a Master and at Applied Business Administration in the Bachelor.

For companies and organizations:

Do you look for an event where your employees or team members learn to accommodate better in operations? Smoothing business processes? Many companies experience problems caused by persons in the organization that do not coordinate the activities properly. Processes are not running as it should be, because employees purely view operations from their specific personal position. The individual employees hardly consider the consequences for the entire organization in their behavior and attitude. The inside of the box thinking in their own little kingdoms create bottlenecks in business processes. The internal communication is more viscous than necessary and consequently operations are not optimal. The right people in the right place is not just a matter of knowledge and skill, but also behavior and attitude. With our game simulations you upgrade your ‘learning’ organization. Playfully. In game simulations which last from 1 hour to 6 hours (when multiple variants are played in succession)

What good is the logistics game?

Improve the internal networks by being jointly active.

  • Achieve more synergy in collaboration between colleagues: collective learning
  • Improve the internal networks by being jointly active.
  • Let your employees look at the various business processes from different perspectives, leading to better mutual understanding and different perceptions and insights.
  • Let your employees experiment in a safe practice situation, as a test for (new) methods and procedures.
  • Realize more team spirit by letting the same processes be experienced from the 'other side'.
  • Make your employees aware of the effects of individual behavioral styles on business processes and on internal communication.

Which versions of the logistics game are available?

From beginner (basic) to advanced (gold)

Basic

You start with the basics of logistical concepts and coordination problems. You learn about tasks and powers, responsibilities and stereotyped behavior. The ultimate goal is to learn to understand the dynamics of an effective process.

  • Logistic concepts
  • Tasks & powers
  • Responsibilities
  • Stereotype behavior

Silver

In the silver version, the production planning and cash flows are added. And you learn how to create a profit and loss account with cost prices and balance sheet.

  • Logistic concepts
  • Tasks & powers
  • Responsibilities
  • Stereotype behavior
  • Production planning
  • Cash flows
  • Cost prices and balance sheet
  • Income statement

Gold

Finally, to learn to deal in gold version with a flexible process, a decentralized purchasing process and a customer order decoupling point. Supported with the corresponding business administration.

  • Logistic concepts
  • Tasks & authorities
  • Responsibilities
  • Stereotype behavior
  • Production planning
  • Cash flows
  • Cost prices and balance sheet
  • Income statement
  • Flexible process
  • Decentralized purchasing process
  • Sales order decoupling point
  • Business Administration

LE-Budget

Budget-driven (educational) organization simulation

LE-Budget focuses on business processes in budget-driven organizations. In particular on the lump sum problems of schools. LE-Budget is a role play simulation that focuses primarily on the operational management of the “production” process in a school.
For example, we simulate the learning process of pupils in a school as a production process of “individual” complex Lego towers that must be built in the 8 groups (“production departments”).

The participants (“teachers”) are shown a digital class with about 20 students each, of which they have to arrange the production. A building plan is available for every student. On the basis of the different colors one can determine the characteristics of the process and link costs and / or coverage to it.
Apply the simulation in a different environment, to other budget-driven organizations such as; hospitals, care homes, is easy to realize.

In LE-Budget the emphasis is not only on the hard business-economic side of the operational processes, but also on the soft side: the influence of behavior and attitude on the choices that are made.
